First Local Fields Series Craft Beer Features Locally Grown Red Wine Grapes

WHAT: Hangar 24’sLocal Fields Series Vinaceous, will be released on Saturday, Jan. 19. Vinaceous, an English Old Ale, is a colorful twist on a traditional craft beer. It features an ample amount of Mourvedre (red) wine grapes from Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, Calif. where it derives its burgundy color.

The flavors of dark berry, brown sugar, rich malt and a light oak satisfy the taste buds of both wine and beer drinkers alike. Vinaceous has 8.7 percent alcohol content and is best served in a Snifter or Red Wine glass.

The Local Fields Series was launched in early 2012 and is comprised of six beers, all brewed once per year with a different local ingredient. Other ingredients in Hangar 24’s Local Fields beers include dates, blood oranges, apricots and pumpkins all of which were grown close to the brewery in Redlands, CA.

WHEN: Available on draught and in 22 oz. bottles in the Hangar 24 Tasting Room starting Jan. 19 and in on- and off-premise locations in California starting Jan. 21
