Modern Times Signs with Stone for SoCal Distribution 6/24 (Cans in Aug)

This is just about the biggest news I’ve ever announced. We’ve spent a lot of time gazing into each others eyes and holding hands, but now Stone Distributing and Modern Times Beer are going all the way: we’ve decided to become distribution partners throughout Southern California.

What does that mean exactly? It means Stone’s immensely impressive sales network will take on the job of selling Modern Times Beer in our most important market, and its über-efficient fleet of refrigerated trucks and warehouses will shepherd our beer to willing bars, restaurants, and bottle shops throughout the region.

Our beer will be available to retailers through Stone  starting June 24th. The week of July 8th will be our official launch week, for which we’re planning a slew of spectacular, invigorating events featuring our crew of marvelously entertaining brewers. Pretty amazing, huh?

And in case you haven’t been keeping up with us on Facebook & Twitter, I recently wrote about what you can expect from Modern Times in the early going. The great news is that we’ll be launching with all four of our core beers plus a tantalizing special release.

Lomaland (saison), Black House (oatmeal coffee stout), Blazing World (amber IPA or whatever), Fortunate Islands (hoppy wheat), and Neverwhere (100% Brett IPA) are going to be tasty beers that I’m very excited for you to try. But here’s the caveat: they won’t be perfect. It will take us time to dial-in our recipes and iron out the kinks. We hope you’ll have patience with us as we learn.
