Trinity To Release Farmhouse Soleil & Six Anniversary Beers

Is it July already ?? Wow, time truly does fly when you get to enjoy 6 months of world class beer !  We’ve got quite a lot going on this month, in fact, we’ve been planning some extremely special Anniversary events  for about 9 months now that will finally begin to unfold towards the end of July!  Let’s first talk about our seasonals coming out this month.  Farmhouse Soleil, Saison d’été. Inspired by sunlight, this Saison has a toasty and dry malt profile followed by a very even body.  Switching up the hops, we use American Simcoe hops for a lightly citrus and pine profile which enhances the Belgian 3 yeast blend we use.  Ginger and green pepper corns and light notes of spicy citrus, while the entire beer is reinforced with lemon zest… this Saison is certainly a ‘Summer Day Dream.’  New to the list of ever rotating Trinity Beers this summer, we decided to develop a Gose (pronounced ‘Goes-uh’).  We often stick to a Belgian focus at our brew house, but we very much enjoy the family of beers Gose was born from.  Our yet to be named Gose is inspired by travels to the west coast and the ocean.  It’s crafted with a large emphasis on full mineral richness, constructed through combining 4 rare artisanal salts: white truffle, pink Himalayan, Alea Hawaiian red, and Kala Namak Indian Black.  Further than the salts, it’s a golden wheat beer style that is lightly soured for authenticity and complexity.  A delicious and unique palate experience, 5.2% ABV.

In August we turn 6!!! Yess, Trinity will be 6 years old !!!  We wanted to have a notable climax to celebrate the event, and we didn’t want to make a just make another ‘Anniversary beer,’ so we decided to make 6 !!!! Noticing that there is a large amount of confusion among brewers/writers/beer lovers alike with the definitions of ‘Wild Beers,’ ‘Sour Beers,’ and ‘Brett Beers’ we wanted to shed some light on each of these individual styles by creating beers which highlight distinct differences between these very different styles through both deconstruction and creativity. Working through the theme base recipe from Red Swingline IPA Primitif we’ve created: a normal session IPA sans microbes (Session Swing); a Lactobacillus only barrel-aged interpretation (Swing Se Pliser); a Brettanomyces only barrel-aged version with heavy bitter leather and musty notes (Easy Swinger); a fruited version aged on Gauva/Passionfruit/Red Grapefruit to recreate citrus driven notes made in the original Red Swingline by wild microbes (Passion Swingline), a 150 IBU barrel-aged Double IPA Primitif (Double Swingline), and of course a special release of our original IPA Primitif (Red Swingline).  Starting on July 25th and for the following 5 Fridays leading up to our anniversary in August, we have extremely limited releases of each version scheduled.  At the pub only 180 375ml bottles of each interpretation will be sold (limit 6 bottles each friday per customer), along with very small allocations to our favorite bottle shops and tap houses in the Front Range and a few choice locations in Portland.  We anticipate fast ‘sell through’ on all of these bottles, and encourage showing up early if you plan to cellar or collect the full vertical line-up.  On August 24th we host our ‘6 for our 6th’ Anniversary beer dinner in our barrel room, featuring a vertical of all 6 Swinglines elegantly paired with specific courses.  Tickets for that evening go on sale towards the end of the month!
