From Back Forty:

GADSDEN, Ala. – October 8, 2014 – Alabama’s largest operating brewery, Back Forty Beer Company, has expanded its footprint to Nashville and is available on tap and for purchase across the city. Currently distributed in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and Washington, D.C., Back Forty’s expansion into the Music City will mark the brewery’s first entrance into Tennessee.

Nashville beer enthusiasts will be able to enjoy Back Forty’s four year-round and award-winning beers, Truck Stop Honey Brown Ale, Naked Pig Pale Ale, Freckle Belly IPA and Fence Post Session Ale, in traditional 12-ounce glass bottles, 12-ounce aluminum cans and on draft to give consumers a variety of options when consuming Back Forty beer.

“We’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to grow into Tennessee for quite some time,” said Back Forty Beer Company President and CEO Jason Wilson. “The Southern culture and commitment to local artisans that defines Back Forty Beer Company is alive and well in Nashville, and we’re excited to get started.”

Back Forty will team with Tennessee-based Ajax Turner Company, Inc. to distribute their brews throughout the Middle Tennessee area.

“We are thrilled to have Back Forty Beer Company as the newest addition to our portfolio. The brewery has a great story, fresh look and of course, exceptional beer,” said Kyle Lawing, Ajax Turner Craft & Import Beer Manager. “The initial response we have gotten from customers is as expected; they are equally excited as we are about Back Forty. Our sales force is enthusiastic about this new brand and feel confident that Back Forty will be a big player in our market.”

Recently named by Garden & Gun as one of the top new Southern beers, Back Forty has lead the local craft beer movement in Alabama, building a foundation for the industry’s sustainability in the South. In addition, Back Forty emphasizes the relationship between beer and the culinary world by featuring suggested food pairings on each label of their beers.

Back Forty is proud to serve their beer in the following places:

  • Craft Brewed
  • Flying Saucer
  • 3 Crow Bar
  • The Filling Station
