Stone / Sierra Nevada – NxS IPA Hitting Bottles

I brought you a peek at this beer last week, and now I’m excited to give you your first look at the full bottle packaging.  This is the Stone / Sierra Nevada co-brewed NxS IPA and it is a dry-hopped IPA blended with an IPA aged in Rye Whiskey barrels and Gin-infused Bourbon barrels.  This special-edition beer “conveys the ultimate essence of collaboration with unique touches and inventiveness and creativity.”  Two batches of an IPA were brewed and dry-hopped with Magnum,  and a “three-way hop bursting” of Amarillo, Chinook and Cascade hops.  50% of the first batch was aged in Gin-infused Bourbon barrels and 50% was aged in Rye Whiskey barrels before being blended with the other IPA.  This beer will hit 9%-AbV and stay tuned for release details.
