Bruery Terreux – Prairie Rue Bottles Coming 1/15

This Friday, we celebrate the bottle release of Prairie Rue to the public. Prairie Rue is a collaboration that was born out of years of admiration and friendship between the founders of Prairie Artisan Ales and Bruery Terreux. Using hops chosen for their lemony and floral aroma plus 100% Munich malt, this farmhouse ale was barrel-fermented in oak with several strains of brettanomyces, revealing pleasant wafts of prairie grains, orange blossom honey and lemony-floral funk. A refreshing, crisp bready backbone is complimented by a balance of citrus hop flavors and woody, earthy flavors and spice characters. When thinking about this beer, it’s hard to say whether it’s more of a Prairie beer or a Bruery Terreux beer. And that’s exactly how collaborations should be.

Modeled after a collaboration with Third Window Brewing in Santa Barbara to resemble a classic Moroccan dish, Bierbara 2.0 is a bourbon barrel-aged Belgian-style quad spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon and star anise and blended with eis-ed Riesling must.
