Coronado Brewing Releasing Bourbon Barrel-Aged Unhitched

San Diego, CA – October 6, 2016 – The wait is over! Coronado Brewing Company is releasing its much anticipated Barrel-Aged Unhitched Imperial Brown Ale. This is the latest installment in the company’s award-wining Coronado Collection, a series of limited availability barrel-aged offerings. 

"Our Coronado Collection is where we get to experiment & have fun aging high gravity beers in different types of barrels," says Ryan Brooks, Head Brewer, Coronado Brewing Company. "Each release is unique because we change the style of beer, and the types of barrels used. I’m stoked on this latest version because the bourbon barrels really enhance the caramel and vanilla notes in Unhitched," says Brooks. 

Barrel-Aged Unhitched Imperial Brown Ale is a deceptively easy drinking beer, going down much smoother than its 9.9% ABV suggests. Brewed with a blend of chocolate malt and crystal malts, Barrel-Aged Unhitched has a rich toffee nose, with hints of vanilla and chocolate, and a lingering, warm finish. The beer is available beginning early October, across the company’s distribution network, in 22oz bottles.
