Bottle Release: Sunday 1/29/17 – El Iñigo Montoya with Vanilla Bean, Goat’s Milk Caramel and Toasted Pecans

Did you miss out on our last El Iñigo Montoya release? Make sure you come out to the brewery for this one! We will be releasing a second special variant of our popular Barrel Aged beer: 2016 El Iñigo Montoya with Vanilla Bean, Goat’s Milk Caramel and Toasted Pecans! Our tap room will be open from 1pm to 6pm for this release, and there will be food available for purchase. Sunday’s draft list includes this special beer along with the original El Iñigo Montoya and its FoBAB gold winning Hazelnut variant.

The bottle release will take place at our brewery in Bedford Park, on Sunday 1/29/17 at 1pm. Bottles are limited and we will do our best to spread these out as much as possible. We are anticipating to offer 2 bottles per person, however if turnout is larger than expected this number may change. Thank you in advance for understanding. Here’s the fine print:

-You must be 21 or older and have a valid ID to purchase
-Purchases are in person, non-refundable and non-transferable
-No Proxies
-Bottles are 500ml and $23 each
-We will accept both cash and credit cards
-Bottle sharing outside/inside the brewery is not allowed by the Village of Bedford Park
-Parking will be available at the L & L Hardwoods lot at 6247 W. 74th St. Bedford. We ask that you respect our neighbor’s property and help to keep it clear of litter
-If you plan on arriving early, please check the weather and dress accordingly. While we do not like our guests to wait outside in the cold, we cannot predict if we’ll be able to open earlier on that day.

El Iñigo Montoya is our Yodo con Leche Imperial Porter, carefully aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. A Costa Rican slang term for coffee, “Yodo” means something rich, dark and intense. It’s a perfect name for this distinctive beer. We used “Finca Los Cipreses,” coffee beans from La Joya de Tarrazú, Costa Rica, and had them custom roasted by Chicago’s Gaslight Coffee Roasters for the freshest, smoothest flavor. Add to this Argentine dulce de leche (milk caramel), three caramel malts, three dark malts including chocolate rye, and finally oatmeal, to create several layers of creamy chocolatey goodness. During it’s debut, Iñigo Montoya won a Silver medal at the 2014 Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer in the Classic Porter/Stout category.
