Founders Announces 2018 Release CalendarAs always you can click on the word ‘release’ in any post to see the latest release calendars from all breweries….now this exciting news coming from Founders for 2018:

Some notable changes to, well, note are:

  • Breakfast Stout & Backwoods Bastard will be available year-round. Yep, that’s right, you won’t have to wait for either of these going forward! Well, sort of. Breakfast Stout should be available without a break in availability into the New Year, while Backwoods Bastard will have a several-month lapse in availability. Not bad!
  • It’s not indicated on the calendar, but we will be offering Solid Gold, All Day IPA, Rubaeus and all of our seasonal beers, which include Mosaic Promise, Azacca IPA and PC Pils, in 6-pack cans.
  • DOUBLE TROUBLE RETURNS! You’ve asked and we are delivering. Our notorious imperial IPA makes its return in May 2018.
  • We are launching a brand new taproom carryout series called the “Mothership Series.” These beers will range from classics like the inaugural release, Red’s Rye IPA, to experimental new styles. They will only be available for carryout in Six-pack bottles at our taproom locations.
  • We’re saying goodbye to some favorites, like Imperial Stout, Curmudgeon and reDANKulous although we’d like to think of it as ‘until we meet again.’ Because, let’s be real, we bring back old favs all the time!
  • Green Zebra was such a hit we’re bringing it back around. This gose-style ale brewed with watermelon and sea salt was named one of VinePair’s 50 best beers of 2017!
  • The Barrel-Aged Series returns and, with it, four new releases we’ll share with you throughout the year.

This update from Founders:

We’ll be unrolling our 2018 calendar throughout the week and, to kick things off, we’re happy to share the two newest aimagedditions to our year-round lineup.

That’s right – Backwoods Bastard and Breakfast Stout will be available year-round beginning in 2018! While Breakfast Stout should see no lapse in availability from now into the New Year, Backwoods Bastard won’t hit shelves in 2018 until April. And there it will stay. No more waiting around for these two favorites to make their seasonal return!

We have big changes coming in 2018 – stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitterchannels to stay up-to-date with what’s to come.Founders Introduces the 2018 Mothership Series

UPDATE 5 Dec 2015…some additional details from Founders:

We’re unveiling the big changes from our 2018 availability calendar all week long! Next up, a brand new series emerges in a brewery far, far away…

Introducing the Mothership Series!

This series will be available for carryout only at our taproom locations and will include three releases throughout the year, from old favorites to experimental new styles. We’re kicking it off with a beer we had to retire from bottles a few years ago based on its short shelf life: the longtime standby, not to mention hands-down Founders employee-favorite, Red’s Rye IPA!

Red’s Rye IPA will be available for carryout at both of our taproom locations beginning in February 2018.

This 6 Dec 2017 update from Founders:

We’re sharing the big updates from our 2018 availability calendar all week long! Next up, a new package for our seasonal lineup and select year-round beers:

Introducing 6-pack cans!

That’s right, beginning in 2018, we will be offering our seasonal lineup, which includes Mosaic Promise, Azacca IPA and PC Pils, select beers from our year-round lineup including All Day IPA and Rubaeus and our 2018 ArtPrize beer.

We’ll continue to offer our seasonal lineup and All Day IPA in 15-pack cans because, c’mon, of course we will. Additionally, All Day IPA will be available in 6-pack bottles so you can get your favorite session ale in no shortage of packaging formats! Azacca IPA won’t see the switch to 6-pack cans until December 2018.

We have more big changes coming in 2018 – stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels to see what’s next! Also, make sure to download our mobile app to find all of these beers near you.

Update 7 Dec 2017 from Founders:

We’ve been sharing the big updates from our 2018 availability calendar all week long and this next one might just be the best change yet! When we retired this beer from our lineup two years ago, we were faced with fan after fan pleading with us to bring it back – to say it wasn’t so. Well, we are happy to announce: Founders Double Trouble Returns in 2018

The return of Double Trouble!

Double Trouble is an imperial IPA that features an abundance of hop character. It will be available from June to July in 4-packs of 12oz bottles across all 46 states you can currently find our beer- your summer just got better and it hasn’t even begun.

Stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels – we’ll be announcing the full 2018 availability calendar tomorrow!
