Bell’s Brewery Announces Oberon Day 2018 Details

We are closely approaching the release of Oberon, our American Wheat Ale. Here’s everything you need to know about celebrating Oberon Day 2018.

WHEN IS IT?

Oberon is released on Monday, March 26 in all the states we distribute, besides Florida and Arizona, where Oberon is available year round.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL PARTIES?

Yes, we host midnight tappings and launch parties. See a full list of our events near you on our events page.

WHERE CAN I GET OBERON?

Oberon should be available at most locations that sell or serve our beer. Call ahead before heading out on Oberon Day and check out our Beer Finder.

WILL THERE BE OBERON DONUTS AGAIN?

Yes, Sweetwaters Donut Mill will be selling Oberon Donuts again this year at their two Kalamazoo locations, Battle Creek and Plainwell location. They will go on sale on Oberon Day at 6 a.m.

Is there ever — check out our latest Oberon gear at our General Store or online.

HELP! I DON’T LIVE IN A STATE YOU DISTRIBUTE. HOW CAN I GET OBERON?

While we don’t distribute everywhere yet, you can still enjoy Oberon season by brewing a similar batch at home. We have Oberon clone kitsavailable from our General Store. Here are tips for cloning Oberon.

WHERE CAN I GET MINI KEGS?

Mini kegs will come out around Memorial Day weekend. Check out this year’s design.

HAVE AN UNTAPPD ACCOUNT?

Check-in to 1 Oberon between midnight on March 26 and April 1 and the badge is yours.

OBERON DAY AT BELL’S ECCENTRIC CAFÉ

WHEN DOES THE CAFÉ OPEN?

The café opens at 9 a.m. The first 100 people in the door will get a free Oberon donut. But if you missed out on one of our special Oberon brewery tours, you should probably show up about an hour before … yes, that is a hint.

WHAT WILL YOU HAVE?

In addition to Oberon, we will have Uberon (barrel-aged Oberon), Mango Habanero Oberon and Tequila Barrel Mango Habanero Oberon.

WILL THERE BE ANY FOOD SPECIALS?

We’ll have Oberon brats and BBQ, in addition to our regular menu.

ENTERTAINMENT

Live entertainment will begin at noon. Depending on the weather, we will have games in the garden.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Everyone has to be 21 years of age or older to come to the Café on Oberon Day.

The Eccentric Café is hosting a special 4-course Oberon beer dinner featuring three different variations of our American Wheat Ale at the Eccentric Café.

COURSE 1: CLASSIC OBERON PAIRING

Mixed Green Salad with Melon, Strawberry, and Prosciutto paired with Oberon

COURSE 2: ECCENTRIC OBERON PAIRING

Squab with Parsnip, Carrots, and Tomato

COURSE 3:

Lamb Chops with Mango Chili Chutney and smoked sweet potato paired with Mango Habenero Oberon

COURSE 4

Sticky Toffee Pudding with Caramel and Cream paired with Uberon

Oberon (aka summer) officially returns Monday, March 26!
It will be available on draught, in 12 oz. cans packaged in 12-packs and 4-packs of 16 oz. cans along with 12 oz. bottles packaged in both 6-packs and 12-packs. Mini-kegs will arrive later this spring.
