Rainier Brewing Releases Rainier PCT IPA

SEATTLE – Rainier Brewing Company has been brewing mountain fresh beers since 1878, and in August the brewer is releasing a new year-round offering called Rainier PCT IPA.

This hop-forward, highly drinkable beer made with Comet, El Dorado and Azacca hops is brewed to celebrate 50 years of the Pacific Crest Trail. Rainier will donate twenty-five cents per case, up to $10,000, to support the Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA) to help maintain the trail and preserve it for future generations.

“The Pacific Crest Trail is a national treasure and captures the essence of outdoor recreation in the Northwest,” said Rainier Brand Manager, Michael Scott. “We want to do our part to take care of and support the trail, and the organization, that brings so much joy to those in our region.”

“We are so incredibly thankful for Rainier Beer’s support of the PCTA,” added Pacific Crest Trail Association Director of Philanthropy, Angie Williamson. “With partners like Rainier, we are able to bring awareness to our mission across the region helping us preserve this trail for another 50 years and beyond.”

Rainier PCT IPA will be available starting in August in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. This new brew has an ABV of 4.5%, 45 IBUs and is available in stores in six-packs of 12-ounce cans. It is also available at your favorite bars and restaurants across the region.
