BrewDog Announces New Low-Budget Big Advert Campaign (The Most Honest Ad You’ll Ever See)

From BrewDog:

The ad break in Game of Thrones has become the Superbowl of TV slots. Other brands spend big here investing in massive narratives, intricate Game of Thrones themed visuals and slick films.

So we didn’t.

Our new advert may have been one of the lowest cost TV ads to make. Ever.

Our mission is to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. Except right now, only 14% of the UK population have discovered craft beer.

14% is a drop in the ocean compared to the tsunami of mass-produced, industrial lager that monopolises advertising space.

That’s why we have drawn a line in the sand with this new campaign. No storyline, no big budget, no highly-paid Danish actors.

The craft beer revolution will only take hold if we convince the world to ditch the mainstream and embrace the alternative. We don’t want to live in a world dominated by bad beer any more than you want to live in one with lame advertising.

This advert is BrewDog doing what we’ve always done: The exact opposite of what convention and rules expect.

If you want to see what a BrewDog TV advert looks like, stay tuned in the Game of Thrones ad break tonight. You can also catch our new advert during First Dates on Channel 4 tomorrow night, in the FA Cup Final ad break this Saturday plus other future TV slots.

Oh and watch out, it’s also in cinemas, on buses and billboards.
