Saint Arnold Adding Old Fashioned Barleywine

Here’s your early peek at a new cocktail-inspired beer coming from Saint Arnold in Houston, TX. This is Old Fashioned and it will be an English-style barleywine ale aged in Rye Whiskey barrels with orange peel. The beer will clock in at 12.9%-AbV and you’re looking at the 12oz bottle. Old Fashioned

Our newest special release beer is Old Fashioned, a Barleywine Aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels with Orange Peel.

A spin on Bishop’s Barrel No. 15, the orange peel in this new iteration lends a bright and zesty counterbalance to the caramel malt, toffee, and dark fruit notes. The rye whiskey barrel aging provides pleasant spice and oak character to this 12.9% beer. Pour it into a glass and enjoy a new classic – no stirring required.

Starting Monday, May 17, Old Fashioned will be available in 12 oz bottles in stores around town and on draft at select bars and restaurants.
