Tröegs Unveils Refreshed Seasonal Snack Bar Menu
HERSHEY, Pennsylvania – Tröegs Independent Brewing announces its refreshed Snack Bar menu featuring seasonally inspired dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.
The family-owned, independent brewery offers a curated menu with delicious dishes designed to pair with a wide variety of brewery-fresh beers, Tröegs cocktails, and wines to provide guests with an only-at-Tröegs experience.
Last September, Tröegs welcomed Devin O’Roark as its Executive Chef, who comes to Tröegs with years of experience. After earning a degree from the Culinary Institute of America, he honed his skills at Hotel Hershey, Blackworth Live Fire Grill, and The Blue Bird Inn, among others.
“Winter is a tough season for local ingredients, but we always try to source as many as we can,” says O’Roark. “We start by putting together a dream list, then find out what’s available from farms and suppliers right here in our backyard. We also look at the current menu to see if we need to fill any gaps..”
New to the menu, Tröegs is serving up a Cranberry Blue Cheese Chicken Sandwich, which highlights smoked chicken thighs from Lebanon, PA’s Bell & Evans, and Confit Duck Cassoulet featuring duck from Jurgielewicz Farm and includes house-made Toulouse sausage to highlight our Charcuterie program.”
The Snack Bar also offers a variety of Specialty dishes, including Steelhead Trout and Vegetable Marsala Pot Pie.
“I think a lot of us are excited about the new Tandoori Cauliflower, which will satisfy our vegetarian guests,” says O’Roark. “Featuring cashew curry, green chutney, spicy pickled mango, and house-made sweet potato naan, it’s a very bright dish for winter..”
Tröegs also employs a team of bakers who bake bread from scratch and create an assortment of decadent desserts. Included on the menu are four new dessert creations including Pot de Crème made with chocolate custard and a chocolate cookie crumble.
“Ultimately, we want to create dishes that are approachable but unique for a brewery,” adds O’Roark. “The goal is to offer something delicious and made-from-scratch for everyone.”
