New Belgium Cherry Dubbel & Abbey Coming To Belgian Collection

Today I have some exciting new and returning Belgian‑style beers coming from New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, Colorado and Asheville, North Carolina. As part of the brewery’s ongoing Belgian Collection, New Belgium is preparing to showcase both a fresh addition and a beloved classic, each rooted in the rich, malt‑forward, yeast‑driven traditions that helped define the brewery’s early identity.

First up is Cherry Dubbel, a new Belgian‑style dubbel ale that leans into decadent notes of cherry, chocolate, and dark specialty malts. This release lands at 7% ABV and appears designed to highlight the deeper, fruit‑accented side of the dubbel style while still delivering the signature New Belgium balance of sweetness, spice, and smooth drinkability.

Returning to the lineup is Abbey, New Belgium’s long‑standing dark and rich Belgian‑style ale, also checking in at 7% ABV. A foundational beer in the brewery’s history, Abbey continues to showcase classic Belgian yeast character, layered malt complexity, and the deep, warming profile that made it one of New Belgium’s earliest fan favorites.

Both beers look to be packaged in 12‑oz cans and are expected to appear as part of a Belgian Collection variety pack, though final details are still forthcoming. With New Belgium leaning back into its roots, this pack could easily expand to include additional Belgian‑inspired offerings as the 2026 lineup develops.
