Iron Hill Brewery Abruptly Closes Three Locations
We’ve been seeing so many closures and buy outs lately, and I’m sad to report that I have more sad news from Iron Hill Brewery in Newark, Delaware.
Iron Hill Brewery will close three different locations, including its original flagship location in Newark, Delaware. This follows the closure of their Phoenixville Location in October 2024, so this news is particularly bad. This quote from Mark Kirke, new CEO of Irton Hill:
“At Iron Hill, our team is deeply committed to creating memorable culinary experiences, award-winning beers, and delivering exceptional hospitality,” “We’re proud of the strong relationships we’ve built with our guests over the years and incredibly grateful for their loyalty. None of this would be possible without our dedicated teammates, who have made Iron Hill a place where great beer, great food, and genuine hospitality come together. We look forward to welcoming you to enjoy any of our other 16 open restaurants.”
“While we are closing a few locations, this is truly part of a larger growth story—we are evolving, strengthening our brand, and positioning Iron Hill for long-term success.”
In addition to the Newark, Delaware, location, the BrewPub in Voorhees, New Jersey, and the Chestnut Hill location in Philadelphia have also closed and as of today, the Riverfront Wilmington and Rehoboth locations will remain open.
Update 25 Sept 2025: Iron Hill has now decided to file for bankruptcy and close all 16 locations.
