Gigantic Brewing Releasing Cat Stash Fever / Mecha Red

We are excited to release the most festive IPA of the summer season, Cat Stash Fever. We are so in love with the dank, sticky, drippy hops we bring you every Christmas, that we felt like it was time we celebrated “Dankmas in July”!

Now you don’t need to wait until December to enjoy all the piney, resinous flavors and aromas of The Cat Ate My Stash and Pissed On the Xmas Tree. Cat Stash Fever is a lighter, summer version of our holiday beer, but still so dank and drippy you will be decking the halls in no time while you hang out in your shorts and flip flops by the kiddie pool. The big, citrussy, piney hop flavors are delicious any time of year and this NW IPA will help you keep your cool during these hot summer days.

“This beer reminds me of Dankmas memories of my youth – the stickiness of the Dankmas bush, the sweet, heady aromas of the Dankmas feast, and the feeling of contentment of another Dankmas celebration” recollects Ben. “Such relaxing, pleasant memories all rolled up in a haze of nostalgia.”

We worked with our extremely talented in-house designer on the Cat Stash Fever label. Rob Reger is the founder of Cosmic Debris – a San Francisco design house that introduced the world to Emily the Strange – now an international icon for empowered young alternative girls. Reger has been designing Emily and her cats for over two decades and has generated millions of fans of the character. Reger’s sophisticated , surrealistic works explore the dark, entertaining crossroads between desire and the absurd. You might remember him from our Ginormous series, Kölschtastic, and Cat Ate My Stash & Pissed on the Xmas Tree beer labels.

Join us for First Taste Tuesday and “Dankmas in July” celebration TODAY featuring Cat Stash Fever at both The Brewery and Champagne Lounge (5224 SE 26th Ave) and Robot Room at the Rocket Empire Machine (6935 NE Glisan). You can also look for it on draft and in 16.9oz refillable bottles in the Portland metro area, and along the west coast in CA and WA!

Now available in bottle and draft at both Gigantic locations and in the Portland metro area! We created Mecha Red to hit all the notes of the red ales that we love. The perfect amount of malty caramel flavor with notes of chocolate, layered with balanced citrusy hops on top. Also look for it on nitro at bars around Portland!
