First low-calorie, low-carb offering from award-winning coastal brewery centers on popular IPA style, available throughout the Pacific Northwest PACIFIC CITY, Ore. (Oct. 15, 2026) — Pelican Brewing Company is wading into the light beer category by tackling a high-stakes beer style in the Pacific Northwest: IPA. The new Pelican Lite IPA, a full-flavored, low-carb and low-calorie brew for beer lovers, is crafted specially for the region’s active lifestyle. With three grams of carbs and 122 calories in one 12-ounce serving, this is a feel-good IPA that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Featuring notes of crisp citrus and pine, with a clean, dry finish and vibrant hop character, Pelican Lite IPA is flavorful without being filling. With just a fraction of the carbs and roughly half the calories of traditional IPAs, Pelican Lite IPA could be expected to be light on taste and drinkability. However, the brew’s ABV of 5.4%, an anomaly in the light beer category, gives the beverage its body and allows it to stand up well on its own or paired with a meal. As Pelican celebrates 30 years in business, this new release proves the brewery’s passion for craft innovation continues to define the brand and shows no signs of slowing down. IPAs have consistently been a favorite style among the Pacific Northwest’s discerning craft brew drinkers, and formulating a recipe for a light version that would live up to PNW expectations could have a been a daunting process for some. Pelican, however, embraced the journey and experimented with several variations until finding the right recipe. “We set out to craft a light beer that would hit all the marks of a traditional IPA, from the first sip to the last,” said Darron Welch, Pelican’s Founding Brewmaster. “Cutting carbs and calories didn’t mean we had to scale back on the flavor experience, and as a result, beer lovers now have a wider choice in how to cap off their latest Pacific Northwest adventure.” Pelican Lite IPA is brewed and packaged in Pelican’s Tillamook production brewery and is available in six-packs, 12-ounce cans, 50-liter kegs and 1/6 barrels at all Pelican Brewing locations and select retailers throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Northern California. The new low-cal, low-carb IPA is already hitting store shelves. Find a local retailer by visiting pelicanbrewing.com/beer-finder/. Light versions of other Pelican favorites will join the lineup in 2027. About Pelican Brewing Company Born at the beach in 1996, Pelican Brewing Company is celebrating 30 years as Oregon’s only beachfront brewpub and one of the state’s most-decorated breweries (450+ awards). Playful but not frivolous, Pelican brews with purpose, passion and deep respect for the craft. The brewery operates coastal restaurants in Pacific City, Cannon Beach, Siletz Bay, Rockaway and Yachats; a production facility and taproom in Tillamook. Pelican beers can be found at Pelican locations and in stores across Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Northern California. Learn more on the Pelican Brewing website or Instagram.

CaskX Partners with Maryland's Award-Winning Sagamore Spirit Distillery for New Whiskey Investment Offerings

LOS ANGELES, CA Dec. 14, 2023 – CaskX, a pioneering force in the world of spirits investment, is thrilled to announce their latest American whiskey offering in collaboration with the prestigious and award-winning Sagamore Spirit distillery. Nestled in the heart of Baltimore Peninsula, a vibrant neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, Sagamore Spirit has earned widespread acclaim for their exceptional craftsmanship and unparalleled whiskey offerings. zzubreebym

CaskX announces a new American whiskey offering in collaboration with the award-winning Sagamore Spirit distillery.

Sagamore Spirit’s American rye whiskies have earned more than 200 awards internationally, including World’s Best Rye Whiskey in 2019 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The dedication to quality is evidenced by their grain-to-glass approach of growing their own rye and corn on Sagamore Farm, where they also source their limestone-filtered spring water, to craft this exceptional whiskey. Sagamore seeks to bring the uniqueness of Maryland style rye whiskey to life as they continue to heighten their legacy.

"One thing that distinguishes Sagamore from other distilleries is its grain-to-glass commitment to quality. Whiskey is ultimately an agricultural product, so we grow approximately 1.8 million pounds of Serafino Rye and Non-GMO corn less than 30 miles from the distillery. Another thing that is unique about Sagamore is the lack of reliance on a single ‘master distiller.’ Instead, we foster a collaborative team environment that draws upon the collective experience of multiple distillers and sensory experts to create top-quality products," said Drew Thorn, CEO of Sagamore Spirit.

"The partnership between CaskX and Sagamore Spirit will provide accredited investors the opportunity to purchase full barrels of rye whiskey produced from the same mash bills that have formed the foundation of the distillery’s award-winning product line. These portfolios of rye whiskey barrels offer investors the opportunity to profit from the appreciation of whiskey as it ages over time. In addition to the potential for monetary gains, investors will serve an important role in paving a path forward for Maryland rye whiskey by expanding production to meet future demand. This partnership is a win-win for both investors and Sagamore Spirit. Investors are able to acquire assets that are well positioned for future increases in value and the distillery can produce more of their exceptional expressions," said Jeremy Kasler, CEO of CaskX.

With whiskey growing in value by 13.85% annually over the past 10 years, it has swiftly emerged as one of the most compelling portfolio diversification strategies. International markets, from Asia to South America, are witnessing an unprecedented surge in the demand for high-quality whiskey. This growth is being amplified by the removal of European tariffs on bourbon imports, which has contributed to an even greater increase in demand across the continent. As an alternative asset class, whiskey casks stand apart as an asset that not only appreciates based on increases in market demand but can also rise in value due to the aging process of the spirit itself as it matures inside of the barrel. This unique characteristic has made whiskey investment rise in prominence among investors as they are drawn to the security of a tangible asset class that only improves with time.

About Sagamore Distillery

With the revival of the legacy of Maryland Rye Whiskey, Sagamore Distillery carries the torch, illuminating this timeless spirit. Rich in history, Maryland Rye preceded Kentucky Bourbon, and now, Sagamore Spirit is on a mission to reignite the whiskey’s prominence on the global map. In 2019, Sagamore Spirit’s Port Finish won Best Rye Whiskey in the world at the San Francisco Spirit Awards. In 2021 the Double Oak Rye at the Drinks Business & The Spirits Business Spring Blind Tasting was awarded one of only eight Master medals.
