Ska Brewing Expands To Nevada, Now Serving Six States
Ska Brewing Nevada Distribution: Now Serving Six States
Ska Brewing is adding another state to its distribution map, and this time the move brings its beers to Nevada, including Las Vegas, where fans have apparently had to rely on road trips to get their hands on some of the Durango, Colorado brewery’s better-known releases. That changes this week as Ska Brewing teams up with Cellar Craft Distributors to launch statewide Ska Brewing Nevada distribution, making it easier for drinkers to find Modus Hoperandi IPA, Mexican Lager, Hazy IPA and West Coast IPA without having to plan a trip around a cooler full of beer.
I’m sure Nevada is saying, “About time!” – Ska Brewing Nevada Distribution
For Ska Brewing, this is more than another dot on a distribution map. The independent Colorado brewery has spent 31 years building a recognizable identity around punk rock, ska music and craft beer that doesn’t take itself too seriously, while still putting real attention into the beers themselves, and expanding into Nevada gives Ska a new audience in a state with a busy hospitality scene and plenty of people looking for something beyond the usual national beer brands. The partnership with Cellar Craft Distributors also gives Ska Brewing a route into retailers and bars across Nevada, with Las Vegas serving as the launch point before distribution reaches the rest of the state.
The timing gives the launch a proper introduction, too, because Ska Brewing isn’t simply shipping pallets into Nevada and hoping somebody notices. The brewery is celebrating with the Joker’s Republic show at Red Dwarf on Saturday, October 17, followed by a Craft and Kitchen Punk Rock Brunch on Sunday, October 18, where drinkers can find four Ska beers on tap. It’s a fitting way to introduce a brewery whose personality has always been tied to music and independent culture, and for Nevada craft beer drinkers, it means a chance to discover familiar Ska Brewing favorites alongside the brewery’s broader lineup.
Nevada now becomes the sixth state in Ska Brewing’s distribution footprint, extending the brewery’s reach across the West and giving its beers a new home in Las Vegas and beyond. For the full details on the Ska Brewing Nevada distribution launch, the participating distributor, the Las Vegas kickoff events and the beers arriving across the state, here’s the official announcement from Ska Brewing.
DURANGO, CO– In partnership with Cellar Craft Distributors, Ska Brewing launches distribution across Nevada beginning this week.
To get the party started, Ska will celebrate at the Joker’s Republic show at Red Dwarf on Saturday, October 17 and serve Modus Hoperandi, Mexican Lager, Hazy IPA, and West Coast IPA at the Craft and Kitchen Punk Rock Brunch the following morning of Sunday, October 18. After the kickoff in Vegas, these Ska beers will be available statewide across Nevada.
“Up until now, you couldn’t drink Ska Brewing beers in Vegas unless you brought them on a roadtrip— which we’ve done many times in our 31 years,” says Dave Thibodeau, Ska Brewing’s Co-Founder. “We’re stoked to add Nevada to our list of distribution states, further connecting our footprint out West.”

ABOUT SKA BREWING
Founded in the spirit of punk rock and a little bit of ska, Ska Brewing has been challenging the status quo and brewing beers that refuse to conform since 1995. From the iconic Mexican Logger to the rebellious Modus Hoperandi IPA, Ska Brewing is dedicated to crafting unforgettable beers and beverages that are as unique as the people who drink them. Ska Brewing is an independent craft brewery based in Durango, Colorado, known for its distinctive combination of punk rock, ska music, colorful artwork and character-driven craft beer. Founded in 1995, Ska Brewing has spent more than three decades building a recognizable identity in American craft brewing, producing everything from hop-forward India pale ales to approachable lagers and blonde ales. The brewery’s personality is reflected in its beer names, packaging and approach to business, but the foundation remains the same: make flavorful beer, keep experimenting and give drinkers something different from the standard national brands.
The brewery’s history includes several beers that have become closely associated with its name. Modus Hoperandi IPA is among its best-known releases, offering the bold hop character that helped establish Ska Brewing as a recognizable name among American IPA drinkers. The beer represents the brewery’s willingness to embrace bitterness, aroma and a more assertive flavor profile while maintaining the balance expected from a well-made India pale ale. For drinkers discovering Ska Brewing for the first time in Nevada, Modus Hoperandi offers a direct introduction to the brewery’s hop-forward side.
Mexican Logger, also referred to as Mexican Lager in the Nevada distribution announcement, represents another important part of the Ska Brewing lineup. Its approachable lager character provides a different experience from the brewery’s more aggressive IPAs, making it a natural option for warm-weather drinking, outdoor gatherings and casual occasions. By maintaining beers across different styles, Ska Brewing can appeal to drinkers who enjoy hop-heavy ales as well as those who prefer crisp, refreshing lagers.
Ska Brewing has also continued to develop its IPA lineup, including Hazy IPA and West Coast IPA. These styles give craft beer fans different ways to explore hop flavor, from the softer impression and expressive hop aromas associated with hazy IPAs to the cleaner finish and sharper hop character associated with West Coast IPA. The addition of these beers to Nevada distribution gives retailers and bars several options to introduce customers to the brewery’s range rather than relying on one flagship release.
The brewery’s approach has always been closely connected to music and independent culture. Ska and punk rock are more than visual themes on its cans; they help explain the irreverent attitude that has shaped the brand since its founding. That connection also makes live music events and gatherings a natural setting for introducing Ska Brewing to new audiences. The Nevada launch reflects that tradition, with the brewery choosing a Joker’s Republic show at Red Dwarf and a punk rock brunch at Craft and Kitchen to mark its arrival in Las Vegas.
Ska Brewing’s expansion into Nevada also reflects the importance of distribution partnerships in the independent beer business. A brewery can develop a strong reputation in its home market, but reaching drinkers in another state requires reliable distribution, retailer relationships and access to bars and restaurants willing to put its products in front of customers. Working with Cellar Craft Distributors gives Ska Brewing a local distribution partner as it begins serving Nevada, with the announcement confirming that the featured beers will become available statewide following the Las Vegas kickoff.
For a Colorado brewery with 31 years of history, entering Nevada creates an opportunity to introduce its beers to more drinkers across the American West. Las Vegas offers a particularly visible starting point, but statewide distribution means the move is not limited to one city or a handful of launch events. As Ska Brewing continues to serve its established markets, Nevada becomes the sixth state in its distribution footprint and another place where its combination of independent brewing, music-inspired identity and recognizable craft beer styles can find an audience.
From Modus Hoperandi IPA to Mexican Lager, Hazy IPA and West Coast IPA, Ska Brewing’s Nevada expansion gives local beer drinkers several ways to get acquainted with the Durango brewery. The brand’s long history, broad beer lineup and distinctive personality provide a foundation for this next stage of growth, while the partnership with Cellar Craft Distributors brings Ska Brewing into a new statewide market. For the brewery, the message is straightforward: after years of bringing its own beer on road trips to Las Vegas, Ska Brewing can finally send its beers directly to Nevada.
