Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA Gets Updated Packaging

The classic Torpedo Extra IPA remains one of Sierra Nevada Brewing’s defining beers, and the latest packaging confirms that the beer will continue at 7.2% ABV. The label shown here lists Torpedo Extra IPA in multiple package formats, including 19.2-ounce, 16-ounce and 12-ounce cans.

The updated Torpedo artwork retains the brewery’s traditional visual identity while emphasizing the beer’s long-running connection to hops. Torpedo Extra IPA has become one of the best-known American craft IPAs, and its combination of bold hop character and relatively substantial malt backbone helped establish Sierra Nevada as a major force in American craft brewing.

The new package also prominently carries the familiar “Family Owned, Operated & Argued Over” message, reinforcing Sierra Nevada’s independent family ownership.

Atomic Torpedo Imperial IPA Remains at 9.2% ABV

For fans looking for something substantially bigger, Atomic Torpedo Imperial IPA continues at 9.2% ABV and will be packaged in 12-ounce cans. The Atomic Torpedo artwork uses a striking green-and-orange presentation while prominently identifying the beer as an Imperial IPA.

At 9.2% ABV, Atomic Torpedo sits firmly in the stronger end of Sierra Nevada’s hop-forward lineup, making the packaging update particularly interesting for collectors and fans of high-ABV American IPA.

Springfest IPA Returns at 6% ABV

Springfest IPA is also receiving packaging attention. The label identifies the beer as a 6.0% ABV IPA packaged in 12-ounce cans.

The label describes Springfest as being brewed with low-water malt from Western Rivers Conservancy and sustainable hop varieties including Erebus, Alora and Helios, with notes of orange blossom and citrus. The package also connects the beer to Sierra Nevada’s broader sustainability commitments.

Mango Little Thing IPA Expands to 19.2-Ounce Cans

The most noticeable package-size development may belong to Mango Little Thing IPA. The 6.0% ABV tropical hazy IPA will now appear in 19.2-ounce cans, giving fans a larger format for one of Sierra Nevada’s fruit-forward Little Thing releases.
