Anheuser-Busch Delivered More Than 25,000 Cans of Emergency Drinking Water to Wisconsin Following Tornado
When severe weather strikes and disrupts local infrastructure, communities often face immediate, critical shortages of basic necessities. In the chaotic aftermath of natural disasters, access to clean, safe drinking water becomes an urgent priority for affected residents and the brave first responders working tirelessly on the ground to restore order and safety.
For generations, the nation’s leading brewing companies have utilized their unique operational capabilities to step into the breach during times of crisis. By periodically pausing standard packaging lines at dedicated facilities to produce cans of clean emergency water, these corporate citizens provide vital, life-saving aid long before federal relief efforts can fully mobilize in disaster zones.
Demonstrating this enduring commitment to community resilience, a recent severe weather event in the Midwest prompted an immediate philanthropic response. Through a coordinated effort with local wholesale partners and humanitarian relief organizations, thousands of fresh water cans were rushed directly to the affected region, underscoring a century-old legacy of stepping up when Americans need it most.
Here is the complete press release detailing Anheuser-Busch’s emergency water donation to support relief efforts in Wisconsin:
August 5, 2026 – St. Louis, MO – Anheuser-Busch delivered more than 25,000 cans of emergency drinking water to east-central Wisconsin to support residents and first responders in recovery efforts following a tornado in the Fox Cities region.
The donation of emergency drinking water was shipped to Anheuser-Busch wholesaler partner Wisconsin Distributors, whose team partnered with the American Red Cross to distribute the delivery to community members and organizations in need.
“The American Red Cross is deeply grateful to Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partner Wisconsin Distributors for their generous donation and delivery of safe drinking water in Wisconsin following a tornado in the Fox Cities region,” said Lauren Ulrich, Executive Director of Operations Management and Logistics for the American Red Cross. “We appreciate their partnership and ongoing support of our mission.”
The 25,000+ cans of water were sourced from Anheuser-Busch’s brewery in Cartersville, Georgia, which alongside the Fort Collins, Colorado brewery, periodically pauses beer production to can emergency drinking water and help communities in times of disaster.
Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross, dating back to 1906. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have donated more than 100 million cans of clean, safe drinking water to U.S. communities and volunteer fire departments in support of ongoing disaster relief and preparedness efforts.
