Today I have yet another brewery closure announcement, and this one is coming from Almost Famous Brewing in East Granby, Connecticut:

To our customers, family, and friends,

After lengthy deliberation and reflection, we will be closing our doors with the last day of operations being December 28, 2025. We want to thank each one of you for making our journey exciting and rewarding. Please join us as we will continue as usual with our food trucks, music and all calendar events through the end of the year. If you booked a private event, we will honor your reservation. If you have any questions regarding your reservation, please call us. We continue to explore different ideas and options for the brewery but can’t guarantee where it will take us. We have many things to consider and evaluate with this incredibly hard decision. We will provide you with updates as we work our way through this difficult process. Our dedicated, supportive and amazing staff look forward to being in your company and serving you throughout our final weeks. Please join us for a final cheers. We met so many amazing people and made many new friends along this ride. We thank you all for your friendship, understanding and support.

It’s in the name, and there is a story behind it.
We started getting involved with beer during our tender, high school years. Since then, our pallet has become a bit more refined, but we’re still as much a fan of beer as we were back then.
We wound up brewing our own beer by using fresh fruit and natural ingredients. There was a name we were eyeing for our brewery and our beer — but we found out someone had already copyrighted it.

So: We’re Almost Famous. Not quite famous, not quite obscure. But you can be damn sure that we have amazing beer.

 is a craft brewery located in East Granby, Connecticut, known for its welcoming atmosphere, live music, and diverse beer selection. However, the brewery recently announced it will be closing its doors permanently on December 28, 2025, due to mounting challenges in the craft beer industry.

Atmosphere: Described as a home for musicians, artists, and creatives, featuring a high-vibe taproom with live music, food trucks, pinball, and billiards. The decor includes unique features like a bar and tables made from salvaged bowling alley lanes.

Offerings: The brewery offers a variety of in-house, handcrafted beers, including milkshake IPAs, sours, stouts, and New England IPAs, as well as customizable hard seltzers. Food is provided by a rotating selection of on-site food trucks.

Closure: The ownership announced the “incredibly hard decision” to close in November 2025, but confirmed all scheduled events and operations will continue as usual until the final day of business on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
