Australia’s SJK Capital Outbids Saint Arnold For Bankrupt Alamo Beer
After filing for bankruptcy protection in Feb 2025, Alamo Beer has now been sold to SJK Capital out of Brisbane, Australia. SKJ outbid Houston-based Saint Arnold Brewing and will pay $3.75-million (over Saint Arnold’s bid of $3.6-million). The sale includes the brewery property, valued at $7.3-million. SKJ will also pay Disney $60K to allow for the licensing and use of the King Of The Hill beer name Alamo has been producing.

Alamo Beer, the fictional beer from the animated series King of the Hill, is becoming a reality thanks to a collaboration with Alamo Beer Company. The San Antonio-based brewery, which was founded in 2003 and carries a legacy dating back to 1884, is releasing a crisp American Lager under the Alamo Beer brand, inspired by the show. The beer will feature the iconic red, white, and blue Alamo logo on a beige background, mirroring the can design from the show.
