Avery Brewing Co.’s plans to build what would become the largest brewery in Boulder will go before the city’s Planning Board on Thursday night for final approval.
Avery Brewing’s proposal — a $27 million project to construct a 95,922-square-foot building to house a brewery, 249-seat restaurant, tap room, gift shop and offices at 4910 Nautilus Court — has not changed dramatically since it went before the board last fall. However, the brewer now has the backing of the neighboring Boulder Country Day School, which originally objected to portions of the plan.

Northern United Brewing Company, LLC., the parent company of Jolly Pumpkin, has submitetd a development proposal to the Dexter Planning Commission to redevelop the former Martinrea building, located at 2319 Bishop Circle East in the industrial park in Dexter as a beer and wine distillery with a tasting room.
According to Bishop, Northern Brewing plans to purchase the 85,000-square-foot building and relocate its headquarters from Ann Arbor to Dexter. In order to do that, however, zoning approval is required because the business would be located in a research and development district, which does not currently have provisions for a tasting room.
