World of Beer Opens New Location In Gilbert, AZ

Gilbert, AZ (November 25 2013)— World of Beer (WOB), a rapidly-expanding network of beer-centric taverns known for its over 500 craft brews from around the world, craft spirits and tavern fare, will open its 52nd location Monday, December 16th in Gilbert, AZ. The tavern – located at San Tan Village, 2224 E Williams Field Rd, Suite 107 – is World of Beer’s first in Gilbert and third in the state of Arizona.

WOB Gilbert will boast over 500 bottles of beer, 60 rotating taps and will feature a wide selection of beers from local Arizona breweries.  With 2,900 square feet of beer centric tavern space, tavern fare appetizers and hand crafted cocktails, WOB Gilbert will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m., daily.

“We are very excited to become a part of the growing craft beer scene in the Gilbert community,” said JP Watts, WOB Arizona Craft Beer Buyer. “We’re really looking forward to bringing new and rare products into the local market!”

Watts was a pioneer in bringing ‘WOB Culture’ to Arizona with his involvement in opening WOB Tempe in 2012. Originally from the southeast where World of Beer originated, Watts grew to be very interested in the growing passion for craft beer. He now looks forward to the opening in Gilbert with the full appeal of craft brews and tavern fare.

The tavern fare menu is available from open to close and pairs wonderfully with the craft beer. WOB Gilbert’s menu will feature a variety of appetizers including German pretzels, fried pickle chips, black & tan onion rings, brown ale cheese dip, golden ale battered shrimp, pig wings and more. 

WOB Gilbert will also feature handcrafted cocktails including fun creations like the Hoti Mojito, MargarIPA and Gin N Jam. Each drink is unique to World of Beer and showcases the WOB culture by including craft beer in the cocktails themselves. In keeping with their founding philosophy, World of Beer is partnering with local distilleries to supply the handcrafted spirits to WOB Gilbert.

World of Beer Gilbert hosts happy hour, Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. offering $1 off all draft beers. In addition to the weekly events, World of Beer hosts monthly brewery nights and spotlights, tap takeovers and beer-centric events celebrating the flavors of the season.
