Big Picture Brew Works To Open @ AuRants In Duryea, PA – First Brew Begins 2/25

There are still quite a few hurdles to cross, but it looks like our pal Teddy Kerpovich will be starting Big Picture Brew Works @ AuRants in Duryea.  This update from Teddy:

Big Picture Brew Works is a brewing project by Ted Kerpovich of Aurants Restaurant. This project is in its infancy stage but the overall goal will be to brew fun conceptual beer styles that will be available exclusively at Aurants Restaurant. I wanted to launch this facebook page to chronicle my research and development of these beers and to get some feedback on my ideas. Eventually I will begin the long licensing process. My hope is, in the meantime, that new legislation will be passed in PA creating a more nano brewery friendly license with lower start up costs and output requirements.

19 Feb 2014:  Next Tuesday will be the first brewing day of the year! I’m going to start the year off with a challenging one, a German-style Gose. This rare style is a version of a wheat ale brewed with a touch of coriander and salt as well as some mild sourness. I’m going to attempt this brew with the addition of some unique ingredients to put my own stamp on the style!
