Susquehanna Brewing to Host Clambake & Car Show to Kick-Off Outdoor-event Season

PITTSTON, PA – Susquehanna Brewing Company has partnered with a Virginia-based shellfish farmer to host a clambake

and classic car show in late April every year. American Shellfish Company, Cape Charles, VA brings their hand-harvested

hard clams to northeast PA for The Great American Clambake & Classic Car Show for a Cause. The first year event at the

brewery takes place Saturday April 22nd, 2017 from 12pm-5pm. “We wanted to put together a unique event that stands

out and gets people thinking about summer.” Fred Maier, VP and co-founder of Susquehanna Brewing.

In addition to a clambake and car show, local blues fixture Stingray Delpriore’s Whiskey Hill Project will perform live. The

event is free to attend, with clams, burgers, hot dogs, beer and soft drinks all available for purchase. The Ranch Wagon,

Shavertown, PA will be cooking and serving the event’s first time attendees. Dave Weidler, sales manager at American

Shellfish and King’s College graduate, ”we’re planning some great events at the brewery and this is the one that gets it all

started. It’s something really cool that people can look forward to every year to get out and shake off winter in NEPA.” To

proceeds to benefit the Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, Dallas, PA. Winning vehicle takes home beer and clams for a
