Join us for the release of Native Oak on Saturday, August 11th.
Bottle share at 11:00 am, open to the public at 1:00 pm.
The artistry and devotion that goes into the beer in this bottle extends far beyond the walls of this brewery. It begins in forests of Missouri, where native white oak has long been coveted as the exemplary timber for barrel makers. It includes the artistry of coopers, creating the barrels requisite for the production of world class whiskeys. And it concludes with the aging of impeccably crafted beer here at Mother’s.
This incarnation of our Native Oak Series is a blend of American strong and imperial oatmeal stouts aged in Glen Grant Scotch whisky barrels and a Russian imperial stout with honey aged in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. The focus of Native Oak is the unique interaction of specific barrels with the beer. There is no shortcut to the nuance and complexity of Mother’s Native Oak beers. They begin decades prior, as a single acorn takes root in Missouri soil, and culminate as they warm in your glass.
We’ll be kicking off the day with a 11 AM bottle share where attendees are welcome to bring and share your favorite bottles. Once the bottle share begins tickets will be handed out as attendees enter on a first-come, first-served basis to reserve bottles of Native Oak. Bottles are $17.99 each.
At 1:00 PM, the bottle share will come to an end and our tasting room will open to the public. We will then begin releasing bottles to the ticket holders.
