Get ready for some holiday relief!

Flying Dog Brewery is thrilled to unveil the Family Drama Holiday Survival Pack. A limited-edition beer variety pack that adds a much-needed dose of humor to your holiday gatherings. We’ve crafted this pack to celebrate (and laugh at) those all-too-relatable moments that happen around the holiday table. Family Drama includes four unique brews with names as bold as the family dynamics they’re inspired by: “Passive Aggressive Pils,” “Awkward Silence” Black Lager, “Why Are They Here?” Imperial Red IPA, and “Tension Tamer” Hazy IPA.

Each beer is crafted to bring a little lightness to those family gatherings we all love (and sometimes dread), and there’s a flavor here for every holiday vibe. Grab a pack to kick back, share a laugh, and break the tension, no matter what the holidays throw at you.

Here’s a look at what each brew brings to the table:

• Passive Aggressive Pils: A crisp pilsner that’s easygoing, no matter where the conversation goes. Perfect for keeping things light when conversations get…not so light.

• Awkward Silence Black Lager: Smooth, dark, and just mysterious enough, this lager is made for those classic quiet moments at the dinner table.

• Why Are They Here? Imperial Red IPA: Bold and full-bodied, this IPA packs a punch when you’re faced with unexpected (or unwanted) guests.

• Tension Tamer Hazy IPA: Juicy hops galore, this hazy IPA is here to melt away the tension and bring a smile to your face.

The Family Drama pack is designed to turn holiday chaos into camaraderie. With playful names and flavors to match, it’s the perfect addition to gatherings with the family and friends who just “get it.” Whether you’re gifting it or using it as your holiday survival kit, this pack brings humor, flavor, and just the right amount of holiday spirit. Look for the Family Drama Holiday Survival Pack at select retailers and directly from Flying Dog Brewery. Available for a limited time only!

Flying Dog Brewery is a craft brewery known for its creative and bold beers, with a history that includes a 1983 K2 mountain expedition by founder George Stranahan and a long-standing partnership with artist Ralph Steadman for its distinctive labels. Founded in Colorado, the brewery later grew to have a large facility in Frederick, Maryland, though in May 2023, it was sold to the F.X. Matt Brewing Company, which will move most production to New York. The brewery’s mantra is to embrace the “weird” and view craft beer as an art form.

History and origins
The brewery’s name and story originated from a 1983 expedition to K2 led by founder George Stranahan.
After summiting the mountain, the group was in a hotel room with no alcohol, and Stranahan later saw a painting of a flying dog, which inspired the name.
Stranahan opened a brewpub in Woody Creek, Colorado, in 1990, which eventually grew into a larger brewery.
The brewery’s location in Frederick, Maryland, is the largest brewery in the state, but production will begin to shift to New York after the 2023 sale.

Art and branding
Flying Dog is famous for its art, particularly the wildly creative and often controversial labels designed by artist Ralph Steadman, starting in the mid-1990s.
The brewery’s marketing strategy includes community engagement, such as hosting events like concerts and yoga classes, and its on-site tasting room is considered its best marketing tool.

Beer and production
The brewery offers up to 20 different beer styles at any given time, including its signature Barrel-Aged Gonzo Imperial Porter, Kujo Imperial Coffee Stout, and Doggie Style American Pale Ale.
It is known for its bold and boundary-pushing brews, reflecting its rebellious spirit.
The Maryland facility has a bottling capacity of 250 bottles per minute, which is about 100,000 bottles daily.
