STEVENS POINT, WI.  (May 6, 2016) – Indiana wants Ciderboys’ handcrafted hard ciders, and now it has them. Thanks to a new partnership with Indiana beveragewholesaler Cavalier Distributing, Ciderboys unique "fruitful pairings," are now available across the Hoosier State.

The gluten-free, carbonated hard ciders from Ciderboys Cider Co., which blend unexpected fresh fruit flavors with the crisp taste of apple cider are sold in six-packs of 12-oz bottles at retail stores, and in select bars, taverns and restaurants on draft or in bottles. Year-round flavors First Press, a traditional hard cider, and Strawberry Magic, a blend of apple cider and strawberries, are also sold in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans, and First Press and summer seasonal Peach County recently became available in single-serve and four-pack 16-ounce cans.

Additional Ciderboys flavors are summer seasonal Pineapple Hula, made with fresh Hawaiian pineapples; Cranberry Road, an inspired pairing of apple cider with cranberries sold in the fall; winter seasonals Mad Bark, spiced with cinnamon, and Grand Mimosa, made with juicy Florida oranges; and spring seasonal Raspberry Smash, a blend of apple cider and raspberries.

Cavalier Distributing

Established in 1992 by Founder and President George Fisher, Cavalier Distributing is one of the only beverage distributors in the country with a portfolio comprisedexclusively of American craft beverages and imports. Cavalier is dedicated to bringing great beer and spirits to increasingly discerning, appreciative and educated consumers in Indiana, Ohio and Florida. Cavalier employs more than 360 employees throughout the three states and is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio; Indianapolis, Ind.; and Lakeland, Fla.

"Indiana is a perfect market for Ciderboys refreshing hard ciders, and Cavalier Distributing, with a well-founded reputation as a craft beer authority, is the right partner to ensure Ciderboys products will be as popular and successful in the Hoosier State as they are elsewhere," said Julie Birrenkott, Ciderboys Marketing Manager.

"We are excited and proud to team up with Ciderboys and bring one of the biggest names in handcrafted alcoholic cider to Indiana consumers," said KC Mars, Cavalier’s Indiana Sales Manager. "If you are looking for unexpected flavors and refreshment in craft alcoholic ciders, look no further than Ciderboys and Cavalier Distributing."

32 States and Still Growing

Indiana joins 32 other states where Ciderboys hard ciders are sold. Ciderboys
launched in Wisconsin in late 2012 with just two year-round flavors, First Press and Strawberry Magic. Today the Ciderboys family features eight flavors. Ciderboys Cider Co. is a subsidiary of Wisconsin craft brewer Stevens Point Brewery. Ciderboys’ sales continue to grow rapidly, with double-digit sales gains each of the last three years. To keep up with demand, Stevens Point Brewery invested $1.5 million in renovations and upgrades in 2015.

Ciderboys Cider Co. makes its carbonated hard ciders with natural fruit and apple juice from fresh Washington State apples. The apple juice is heated to pasteurize it then fermented at cool temperatures in shining stainless steel tanks. Ciderboys uses a special hard-cider yeast imported from France, where hard ciders have quenched thirsts since the Middle Ages. The fermentation process is cool and slow, taking approximately two weeks for each batch. When fermentation is complete, the cider goes through a filtration process that renders a clear, sparkling liquid. No sugar is added to Ciderboys products, which are naturally gluten free.
