Just last week I sat in on the 2024 Virtual Line Preview from Georgia Boot and I’m excited to say that they have some cool new offerings coming this year, and a bunch of new boots I know you’ll love.

The lineup included new work boots for everything from logging to working with chemicals and slippery surfaces, and as always, Georgia Boot continues to focus on durability, comfort and safety.

If you recall, I’ve reviewed the Georgia Boot Revamp Romeo boots and the Durablend Sport Hiker and we even highlighted Georgia Boots that are designed for the brewing industry…so with that in mind, I was really excited to test drive a new boot coming from Georgia Boot.

I’m very picky when it comes to footwear, and I know I mention this in many shoe reviews, but I think it’s important to note. I spend a lot of time on my feet at work and more importantly, when we’re hiking and working around the house and yard. I also struggle with flat feet, so when I find a shoe brand that I like and a shoe brand that makes my feet feet comfortable and supported, I’m happy to share that news and recommendation with anyone that will listen…and today I have another recommendation.

Today we’re test-walking the Georgia Boot 2024 Amp LT Wedge Work Romeo boot and if you’re unfamiliar, here are the details from Georgia Boot:

The AMP LT Wedge construction in a classic Romeo height.

The upper on this soft toe wedge boot is crafted from full-grain leather with twin gore panels and nylon pull tabs for an easy on.

The interior on this wedge Romeo boot is lined in a soft moisture-wicking material and has a removable memory foam insole for customized all-day comfort.

The foundation of Romeo work shoe contains a cushioning EVA midsole and fiberglass shank for additional support and stability. The oil-resistant outsole is engineered from our proprietary heat-resistant Carbo-Tec rubber. The special rubber blend has great heat, chemical, abrasion, and slip-resisting properties. This brown work shoe meets ASTM F2892 electrical hazard standards for soft-toe work boots.

Right out of the box, I have to say that these are one of the nicest looking pair of boots I’ve reviewed. The boots have a soft but durable brown full-grain leather that just looks great with everything from jeans to work pants. The leather has the Georgia Boot logo branded into the side heel as well as a cool Georgia Boot insert in the rubber of the sole (they call it a 3D molded counter pocket). The stretch panels (they call them gore panels) and front and rear pull tabs, make the boots easy to get on and off quickly and easily and once on, the boots are really comfortable. The insole uses memory foam, so the ride is soft and supportive and the boots fit true to size for me.

My first test was to simply wear these to work, and once again they look great with work pants. I work a desk job, but these boots have all the serious work features like a fiberglass shank, chemical and slip-resistant soles and they even comply with ASTM F2892 electrical hazard standard. These features make these boots a great choice when you need the flexibility of a good looking work boot that isn’t afraid to get in the trenches and get dirty.

I can confirm that these boots are slip resistant on everything from pavement to painted wet concrete and they feel secure and safe on every surface I wore them on. The Amp LT Wedge Work Romeo uses what Georgia Boot calls “Barnyard Proof” SPR leather and this makes them easy to break in, resistant to common work site chemicals, abrasion resistant and this leather is even 3-times stronger than conventional leathers.

I wore the boots every day for over a week in all weather conditions, and in the end, they still look great, they still fit great and they still feel comfortable and secure. The boots weigh 1.65lbs per shoe so they are light enough to feel good without sacrificing safety or durability and they remain one of my favorite and most comfortable boots.
